David Harte on his Trip to Hockey India League

David Harte Goalkeeper India

The Hero Hockey India League 2016 and my third year has come to an end for me and what an adventure it was! 6 different cities, many friends and memories made, all what I had hoped for (bar the odd bit of sickness). Many life lessons have been learnt yet again and in particular to be very thankful for what we have. That is something I have come home with and will stay with me for a very long time!

We, Dabang Mumbai, finished off our last 2 matches with back to back wins meaning we finished 5th which is testament to the hard work and constant belief the group had but were unlucky not to make the playoffs - losing out on goal difference in the end!

Personal highlights were of course the wins, some specific saves in the games, having the opportunity once again to explore this amazing and fascinating country while picking up most entertaining player on a few occasions.

Mumbai (formerly Bombay) was by far my favourite city and hopefully I will be back there again next year to explore it and all the other cities further. Who knows what next year will hold for Dabang Mumbai but I for one have a feeling this young group can go very far in the season's edition of the Coal Hockey India League.
