After winning races in Ireland and the UK Ryan was accepted on to the Irish team for the European Youth Olympics in 2009, his first ever competition representing Ireland.
Since then, he has won a total of 18 separate National titles across his age categories and is the current holder of both UK and Irish junior and senior 10 mile Time Trial records.
In 2014 Ryan became the youngest ever Irish National Elite Road Race champion at the age 19 years old. He then went on to come 2nd in the World U23 Time Trial Championships, losing the Gold by less than half a second. In 2015 Ryan also became the youngest ever Irish Elite Time Trial Champion at 20 years old.
His ambition is to make it to the Rio Olympic games and hopefully progress in the World Tour tier of professional road cycling.
